Ashley has over fifteen years experience in instruction, training and showing, most recently having fit and trained horses for the world-class show facility Hiatt Show Horses. As a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in Health and Fitness, her approach to equine instruction emphasizes the importance physical fitness and biomechanics have on your growth as a rider. Sports psychology, dismounted exercises and bodywork are integrated into the classical principles of riding to form the underpinnings of her riding instruction program.
Ashley's extensive background includes starting young horses, advancing competition horses, and rehabilitating horses with behavioral problems. Her understanding of shaping equine behavior and the science behind the art of riding enable her to unravel unwanted behaviors and correct them by teaching both horse and rider.
